In most species of jumping spiders, raising the forelimbs is a sign of aggression, so in the future, researchers would like to see if other spiders are fooled.
The skeleton wasn't complete, but there were enough parts of the arms, legs, and tail to know that the forelimbs of this dinosaur were shorter than the hindlimbs.
The wider ends of the eggs were all pointed toward the center of the nest, and the dinosaur's forelimbs were spread out, covering the eggs as if to protect them.
They have to do essentially a super push-up with their powerful forelimbs, the strongest limbs they have, get up high enough so that they can get their wings to flap and get off the ground.
